Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment
Maximum Impact Construction Services wants anyone who needs a contractor to be able to use this website, whatever technology they browse with. We treat the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as our target standard. This statement sets out what we have done, what is still short of that target, and how to tell us about a barrier.
Measures We Take
-
Pages are built from semantic HTML — real headings,
lists, buttons and links — with a single
mainlandmark and a "Skip to main content" link first in the tab order. - Every interactive element is reachable with the keyboard, and a site-wide focus style draws a 2px offset outline in our brand blue around whatever has focus. (One exception is noted under Limitations.)
-
Every image carries an
altattribute. Meaningful images are described; decorative photography gets an emptyaltso screen readers skip it. - Body, muted and link text were each measured against the page background and clear the WCAG AA requirement of 4.5:1 — link blue on white measures 5.55:1 and the darker hover colour 8.57:1.
- Headings on our content pages step down in order without skipping a level, so screen reader users can navigate by heading. (Our "page not found" page is an exception, noted below.)
- Form fields have visible labels bound to them, required fields are marked, and validation messages appear as persistent text beside the field rather than only as a browser pop-up.
- Entrance animations are switched off for visitors whose system asks for reduced motion, and all page content stays readable with JavaScript turned off.
Conformance Status
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means most of the site meets the standard, but some parts do not. We have not commissioned an independent audit, so we do not claim full conformance.
Limitations
These are the gaps we are aware of today. We would rather name them than overstate where we are:
- Google Maps embed. Our service area section embeds a map from Google. Its controls and markup are outside our control and may not meet Level AA. Every address and service area it shows is also available as plain text on the page.
- Inline icons. We counted the icons in the built site: 204 of 364 inline SVG icons are not yet marked as decorative for assistive technology. They sit beside visible text labels, so no information is lost, but some screen readers may announce an extra graphic. We are working through them.
- Form focus style. The text and message fields on our estimate form replace the site-wide focus outline with a border colour change and a soft glow. That is less visible than the outline used everywhere else on the site.
- The "page not found" page. Its headings jump from level 1 to level 3 rather than stepping through level 2.
Technical Specifications
Accessibility of this website relies on HTML, CSS, JavaScript and WAI-ARIA, and on the browser or assistive technology you read it with. Where JavaScript is unavailable, the content and navigation still work.
Feedback
